Fire Fighters is part of the Encyclopedia Series created using pages from an old 1911 Encyclopedia Brittanica, they are packed with information. When the pages are saturated with wax they become transparent; the type on both sides becomes evident in a luscious, unreadable pattern. I like to think that each of these pieces is honoring the history and massive research contained on those old thin pages. Some of that knowledge and wisdom can’t help but energize the viewer.
