Deborah Birx by Max Maddox
Casein on panel Painting
7.5 Inches x 11 Inches x 1.5 Inches
Framed behind glass. Homemade milk casein paint.
Covid-19 has brought time and headspace to create and to reflect through art. Isolation has allowed room to breathe and to complete threads from the past that bear on contemporary times. Deborah Birx, Corona taskforce coordinator, could have only been painted with handmade milk casein during the pandemic, and indeed paperweaving is an activity for those with spare time to meditate. I've made a game out of finishing my thoughts with Get Smart, to work out the survival strategies in a time of plague. These are the projects I once never could make time for.
LOCAL PICK UP ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
